How do I create my profile and upload an avatar? was created by Alison Effting
1. Take a look at the Forum menu bar along the top of the page and at the very right you will see a little 'green man' user icon with a drop-down menu arrow alongside.
2. Click on the down-arrow to reveal the menu, and about two-thirds of the way down you will find the 'Preferences' link alongside the gear lever icon.
3. Clicking on 'Preferences' opens up the Forum User Profile page with tabbed content.
4. Ignore the first page that opens up for you with the password and username fields, and look along the tabs (unless you wish to change your password and username details).
5. You may enter your details to populate your profile.
6. The Avatar Image is the third tab along and as simply as you would upload to Facebook or any of your social media, you can change your default Avatar image here.

The 'invisible user' is the boring default grey avatar for all members contributing to the Forum until you upload an avatar for yourself. The process is very simple, and we would love you to upload an avatar image to represent who you are, so that we have some colour in our conversations here. This image can be anything - a photograph of yourself, your pet, your favourite view; or a graphic of some kind. I had a little fun with mine and 'posterised' a photograph of myself - it really can be anything that brings you to life in the Forum.

There is really only one request - please try to keep the image square, and about 150x150 pixels maximum.
If you don't have an image editor available to you, you can Google for online image resizing, and a number of choices should come up for you to choose from.

Then it is really very simple to upload - have some fun!
