Hi Tammy
Thanks very much for your query. I assume that you have a regular gynae checkup and that there are no concerning underlying problems relating to your heavy periods. Your situation sounds very similar to what first brought me into trying tissue salts (heavy periods, fatigue, etc.) somewhat in desperation, and as a last resort to having a recommended hysterectomy in my early thirties.
As far as the tissue salts go, generalised joint pain has to do with acid imbalance (No.10 Nat Phos) and inflammation (No.4 Ferrum Phos). You could use our
Arthro Synergy
that contains both of these salts, as well as some others that assist in maintaining healthy joints. You should use at least six tabs daily, and if there are days that are worse, use more as frequently as required.
Fatigue usually has to do with a deficiency of No.6 Kali Phos, No.9 Nat Mur and No.4 Ferrum Phos. Given your history of heavy menstruation, I think there is a reasonable likelihood of iron deficiency; you could consider getting a blood test to check your haemoglobin and ferritin levels. In this situation you need no.2 Calc Phos as well, to help rebuild the cells. No.8 Mag Phos is helpful for painful periods, all kinds of tension, including premenstrual, and cramping.
To address the latter, I'd suggest the
Rescue Synergy
, which contains most of these, except for the Ferrum Phos (in the Arthro Synergy). You should also use at least six tabs daily, adding more as necessary on days that the fatigue is severe.
You could consider getting individual jars of:
Ferrum Phos
- to use during your menstrual periods; it helps to replace the iron lost and with time can help to normalise the flow, as it seems that the more iron deficient one is, the heavier it becomes. Use a tablet or two every time you need to change your sanitary products.
Mag Phos
- to use at times that the period pains become intense. You can pop on or two of these in your mouth as frequently as every 5 - 10 minutes until it eases up.
Wishing you all the best in reclaiming your well-being.
